Clarification on Operating Results for Q2'10

16th August, 2010 The President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Dear Sir, Clarification on Operating Results for the Second Quarter And the Six-Month Period of 2010 The Company's operating results for the second quarter of 2010, which have been reviewed by external auditors, showed a Net Profit of 29.49 million THB. This is an increase of 10.16 million THB, or 52.54%, when compared to the corresponding period last year. The following is an explanation of the increase in Net Profit. 1. Net Sales Revenue increased by 172.76 million THB, or 25.55%, driven by improved sales volume growth. Cost of Goods Sold also increased by 133.86 million THB or 25.07%. As a result, the company's Gross Profit rose by 38.89 million THB, or 27.37%, versus the same period of prior year. 2. Contribution of funds from Coca-Cola Thailand to support marketing activities increased by 2.95 million THB, or 4.92%. 3. Other Income reduced by 1.26 million THB or 22.35%. 4. Selling expenses and Administrative expenses increased by a total of 23.90 million THB, or 12.83%, resulting from the sales promotion expenses incurred as part of sales effort to the modern trade customers and the higher costs of fuel. For the six-month period of 2010, The Company's operating results showed a Net Profit of THB 43.63 million, representing an increase of THB 40.44 million, or 1,267.77% against the same period of prior year. This improvement in Net Profit was due to the following three reasons: 1. Net Sales Revenue grew by 324.18 million THB, or 25.44%, driven by improved sales volume growth. Cost of Goods Sold increased by 241.47 million THB or 23.71%. As a result, the company's Gross Profit rose by 82.71 million THB, or 32.33%, versus the same period of prior year. 2. Contribution of funds from Coca-Cola Thailand to support marketing activities increased by 14.57 million THB, or 14.14%. 3. Selling expenses and Administrative expenses increased by a total of 46.58 million THB, or 12.81%, resulting from the sales promotion expenses incurred as part of sales effort to the modern trade customers and the higher costs of fuel.
