16th November 2009 The President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Dear Sir, Report on Operating Results for the Third Quarter And the Nine-Month Periods of 2009 The Company's operating results for the third quarter of 2009, which have been reviewed by certified external auditors, showed a Net Profit of THB 8.95 million, which is an increase of THB 6.22 million, or 227.84% improvement versus prior year. This improvement in Net Profit was due to the following four reasons: 1. Net Sales Revenue increased by THB 43.17 million or 6.76%, driven by an increase in sales volume growth. However, Cost of Goods Sold increased by THB 31.60 million or 6.21%. As a result, the company's Gross Profit increased by THB 11.57 million or 8.90% versus the same period of prior year. 2. Contribution of funds from Coca-Cola Thailand to support marketing activities increased by THB 3.45 million or 7.22% compared to the same period previous year. 3. Other Income decreased by THB 1.89 million or 35.85%. 4. Operating and Administrative expenses increased by a total of THB 5.48 million or 3.07%, resulting from sales promotion expenses. For the nine-month period of 2009, The Company's operating results showed a Net Profit of THB 12.14 million, representing a decrease of THB 3.61 million, or 22.93% versus the same period of prior year. This decline in Net Profit was due to the following four reasons: 1. Net Sales Revenue increased by THB 61.29 million or 3.23%, driven by an increase in sales volume growth. However, Cost of Goods Sold increased by THB 103.53 million or 7.11%, driven by prices of raw materials and finished goods that have seen an increase since mid-year 2008. As a result, the company's Gross Profit decreased by THB 42.25 million or 9.61% versus the same period of prior year. 2. Contribution of funds from Coca-Cola Thailand to support marketing activities increased by THB 8.74 million or 6.00%. 3. Other Income decreased by THB 8.78 million or 37.16%. 4. Operating and Administrative expenses decreased by a total of THB 34.91 million or 5.99%, resulting from the lower costs of fuel and management's effort to reduce operating costs. This summary report of the Company's operating results for the third quarter and the nine-month periods of 2009 is duly submitted for your consideration.
